Materials Analyst- Memphis, TN

This position is responsible for supporting maintenance activities and performing inspection activities at the Memphis storage facility for the Pooled Inventory Management (PIM) program. This includes organizing supporting activities and operations associated with the receipt, storage, maintenance, and withdrawal, (issuance) of inventory items for the following programs:

  • Pooled Inventory Management (PIM) Program
    • PIM warehouse in Memphis, TN.
    • National SAFER Response Centers (NSRCs) in Memphis, TN.
  • Storage and Maintenance Services (SMS) Program in Memphis, TN.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post-secondary degree or military training in equipment maintenance area preferred.
  • Working knowledge of warehousing fundamentals, materials management, inventory control, and lifting and rigging practices desired
  • Working knowledge of operations and maintenance practices on industrial equipment
  • At least five years of experience in the energy industry preferred.
  • Working knowledge of supply chain standards
  • Excellent communication skills


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support operations associated with receiving, storage, maintenance, testing, and withdrawal, (issuance) of equipment and materials.
  • Compliance and adherence with procedures and processes associated with testing and inventory control, and documentation.
  • Perform oversight to ensure performance expectations are met.
  • Ensure that inventory equipment is maintained in a service ready state.
  • Ensure that inventory emergency equipment is maintained in a high state of readiness to support emergency response activities.
  • Provide on-call coverage for emergency activations and withdrawals, (issuance)
  • Manage contractors who perform work at storage facilities.


JOB SCOPE:

  • Reports to the Warehouse Supervisor
  • Inspection and oversight duties
  • On-call coverage for emergency activities associated with stored equipment
  • Frequent travel required to warehouse facilities, vendor shops, and industry meetings (up to 25%)
