A caring human touch

AbilityLinks information and referral counselors help you make connections to qualified candidates and proven resources, and answer your questions from an informed, unique perspective because they have a disability.

Why did AbilityLinks begin?

Created in 2001 and dedicated to helping persons with disabilities find jobs, AbilityLinks is a web-based program of Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital, part of Northwestern Medicine.

Persons with disabilities want the opportunity to pursue a career of their own choosing but have an unemployment rate that is two time higher than average, not counting individuals who become discouraged and stop actively seeking work. At the same time, businesses that value a diverse work force lag behind when it comes to disability inclusion. They want greater access to this talent pool.
