RAMP is a non-profit, non-residential Center for Independent Living (CIL) that advocates for and serves people with disabilities in Boone, DeKalb, Stephenson, and Winnebago Counties in north central Illinois.
American Association of People with Disabilities
AAPD is the largest national nonprofit cross-disability member organization in the United States, dedicated to ensuring economic self-sufficiency and political empowerment for the more than 56 million Americans with disabilities. AAPD works in coalition with other disability organizations for the full implementation and enforcement of disability nondiscrimination laws, particularly the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
Independent Living USAILUSA is a database of contact information for independent living centers throughout the country. The database is searchable by state. It also has an extensive collection of articles and news stories about and for people with disabilities.
